Play Hard Series: Chinook Valley Golf Course

Dale Huether and his family know how to PLAY HARD. For them, the Chinook Valley Golf Course and campground are the perfect place to let loose.
Chinook Valley is located in Woking, Alberta, a short, 35 minute drive north of Grande Prairie. The golf course boasts a challenging nine holes that makes the most of the northern Alberta terrain, with rolling hills and river flats.

“It’s a great course,” says Dale. “Big greens, with just enough height to make it interesting. The sand traps are challenging, too.” There are practice facilities complete with green and sand trap. No course would be complete without a clubhouse and Chinook Valley offers a licensed and well-equipped one.

Another thing Dale likes about Chinook Valley? The reasonable rates, not just for golfing but for camping, too. “It’s so close. It’s a great place to get away for the weekend or even a few days during the summer.”
The Chinook Valley camping facilities are available on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Campers can choose from fully serviced sites with power, water and sewer or partially-serviced sites, with just power and water.
